BREADPAN FOLD |
 |
The breadpan fold is used to create a secondary line
of defense at the top of the panel against water, snow and / or ice
infiltration behind metal Z and / or foam closures. It is used
primarily on standing seam / hidden fastener snap-lock roofing panels as
it requires a flat expanse of metal between major ribs. It is
particularly useful when transitioning from a high slope roof plane to a
low slope roof plane in areas that experience severe snow / ice
conditions. An example would be a common transition from the roof
on the main house to the roof on a porch. |
