Coverage:
300-500
square foot per gallon, depending on the surface of the metal and
texture. Be sure to estimate the right amount for your job. This will
ensure color uniformity and minimize the disposal of excess paint.

General Instructions:
Surfaces
must be clean and free of mildew and forming oils. New galvanize needs
to weather for at least 6 months before being painted. Surface should be
cleaned as well as possible to remove chalk dust from the metal panel.
We recommend that you powerwash all metal surfaces to remove chalk,
rust, mildew and blistering paint. Clean all metal surfaces with
Tri-Sodium Phosphate. A bristle brush may be used to remove stubborn
dirt and stains. Caution: Use rubber gloves, work goggles, and
protective clothing when applying the wash mixture. Spot prime all
exposed metal with Calbar 10-520 red oxide primer. Unweathered areas
such as eaves, ceilings, and overhangs should be washed with Tri-Sodium
Phosphate to remove surface salts that can interfere with proper
adhesion.

Tinting/Thinning:
Not recommended,

Stirring:
Stir
the paint thoroughly, before using, and frequently during application.

Cautions:
Paint
only when weather conditions are warm and dry. Do not apply when
surface temperatures are such that you cannot hold your hand on the
surface to be painted. Do not paint if rain is forecast within the
tack-free time. Starting after 10 am and stopping by 4 pm gives best
results. Condensation on wet paint film will flatten the finish of the
coating prematurely and unevenly, but does not affect adhesion or
durability. Never paint over condensation. Painting at temperatures
above 90ºF may cause coatings to dry too quickly, which can delay
thorough drying and cause bubbling and wrinkling. Refer to the Material
Safety Data Sheet for complete health and environmental information.

Flashing
(flattening) will occur if dew settles on the metal while the coating
is wet. This will not affect the protective qualities of the coating.

Do
not apply when ambient or surface temperatures are below 40ºF or above
90º.

Do not apply when there is a threat of rain.
